Owners and Renters

Important Information for Owners and Renters regarding proper handling of ashes, garbage disposal, insurance requirements, and parking.

Intervale Rules and Regulations

Proper Handling of Ashes

Call the office and ask that our maintenance crew dispose of your fireplace ashes. Improper handling is the largest cause of home fires in Vermont. If you must do it yourself, wait several days and then place ashes in a metal container and place it outside. Do not place the container on the deck surface or in the garbage closet.

Garbage

All trash must be placed in clear plastic bags. Winhall has mandatory recycling of newspaper, plastic and metal waste. Clear bags are available for purchase from the office. Garbage is picked up by our own maintenance crew; please use care in prepping it!

Insurance

All owners should have adequate “Condominium Owner’s Insurance”. A copy of your HO-6 form must be filed with the office at each renewal. While the Association insures the structure, the owner is responsible for insuring any improvements made since original build, and upgrades above builders original quality fixtures and appliances. The owner is also responsible for insuring his personal property and should have “loss of use” coverage. Please spend the time with your insurance broker and the current by-laws to make sure you have the proper coverage.

Parking

Owners or renters are permitted to park 2 cars at their unit; one in the carport and one behind it. Additional parking is available near the office. This is especially important in winter when plowing may become necessary at any time.
